During the 1950s Wittenoom was known as the Pilbara region’s largest town, a monument of prosperity. Today, the once-thriving Wittenoom is now a virtual ghost town.

The Perth Entertainment Center officially closed in August 2002 and remained abandoned ever since. It was demolished between May and December 2011, and now a new facility called Perth Arena is being built in its place.
