Abandoned Château Robert Hansen

Château Robert Hansen ABANDONED SPACES

Château Robert Hansen is an abandoned castle built at the end of the 19th century. Located near a busy road and in front of the Mediterranean Sea, the castle is very vandalized. For a photographic point of view, the outside is impressive but the interior is completely collapsed.

Built in the 19th century, Château Robert Hansen occupies more than 7 hectares. In 2000, Prince Mohamed ben Fahd Al-Saud, son of the late King Fahd, and nephew of the King of Saudi Arabia, owned the 13 hectares of Robert Hansen Robert Park. But this vast land was classified as protected land area because of its biological diversity and natural or cultural resources. So it was not allowed to make any construction works nearby. In July 2017, a fire happened inside the Château Robert Hansen and since then it’s abandoned.
