Ho Thuy Tien is an abandoned water park with disused water slides and empty splash pools overgrown by jungle flora located in Vietnam. Ho Thuy Tien lies just five miles outside Huong Thuy town in Hue, by the Thuy Tien Lake. Thuy Tien was built by a Hue tourism firm for over 3 million USD and park was officially opened to welcome guests in 2004, even though it was not completed at that time.
Thuy Tien park had a luxury restaurant area, aquarium, lake yacht, water park system, and majestic water music stage with a capacity of 2,500 seats. It was designed in the shape of a powerful open-mouth dragon. If you go inside the dragon, you can see a ticket stall.
Why Thuy Tien Lake Water Park is abandoned?
However, after putting into operation, the park was degraded, inefficient, and eventually abandoned in 2011. No one really knows why the Abandoned Water Park in Hue closed, but there are several rumors. There are several factors lead to closing, but the most remarkable reason is low-efficiency, decreasing profit.
Other report suggest that the water park was closed because it is cursed and haunted as it was built in an area full of temples and royal tombs. Therefore, locals supposedly stopped going there and the park was no longer profitable. Now the park remains the same way it was left, almost as if abandoned in a rush, and nature has taken complete control over it.
What is current status of Hue Water Park?
The already Abandoned Ho Thuy Tien Water Park officially closed in 2018 when access to the property became restricted and it was declared to be dangerous to visit due to the deteriorating state of the buildings. The future of the park remains uncertain and what remains now resembles something straight out of a horror film.

Draped in graffiti and overgrown forestry, this weary waterpark is fast succumbing to the elements and might not be around much longer.
