Fun Park Fyn

A small family oriented place, Fun Park Fyn was opened sometime during the 1980’s. Fun Park Fyn, formerly called Fyns Sommerland, is an abandoned amusement park eight kilometers north of Aarup on Fyn. Water slides and radio cars have been among the rides. The abandoned site is popular with photographers and for urbex, but has also attracted vandals and thieves.water slides and cycle paths as well as small rides like a motorized carousels. Designed for family fun, it was a popular place with affordable prices. In 2006, Fun Park Fyn closed from the owner going bankrupt. Now those same swan pedalos sit abandoned on the river. The slides are overgrown with leaves and branches.

There were rumours in 2013 that the park was going to re-open with a Hans Christian Anderson theme but these were just rumours and the park remains abandoned. The Funen investor Leif Bork Christiansen was the owner behind, but both himself personally and his investment company went bankrupt in the wake of Roskilde Bank’s crash. The private limited company behind the amusement park was dissolved in 2016 after voluntary liquidation.
