Japan has too many abandoned schools and between 2002 and 2017, a total of 7,583 schools were shut down. Urbex Photographer visited an abandoned school in a small village in Osaka Prefecture. It closed in 2004. The place was inaugurated in 1962. This abandoned school is situated in the middle of the mountains at the end of a tiny winding road. It remained a number of interesting pieces in the classrooms and hallways.
Inside the school, the wooden structure which threatens to collapse does not reassure me. The school had to close since the number of young people went down really badly in this small Japanese village. The school was vandalized with the effects of the damage over years.
