Residents of Abkhazian town turned an old, abandoned, and severely rundown building into a bitcoin mining farm. This computational arsenal belonged to a crypto mining farm, a facility crammed with specialized computers dedicated to solving complex math problems that keep the network running, and earning new bitcoin along the way.
Abkhazia’s abandoned Soviet-era buildings were enjoying a second life as cryptocurrency mining facilities. The building’s huge windows were gaping holes without glass: probably industrial fans were nesting there. However, the bitcoin mining business didn’t run well and the mining farm inside an abandoned building was closed for good and only rusty mining equipment lies there.
