I take a look at one of the eldest and abandoned Motive Power Depot in Kaliningrad, Russia that offers a glimpse into the past.
The motive power depot (MPD or railway depot) in Kaliningrad was the place where locomotives were housed, repaired, and maintained when not being used. Facilities were provided for refueling and replenishing water, lubricating oil and grease, and, for steam engines, disposal of the ash.
