The hospital has a long history. It was opened in 1967 for the treatment and rehabilitation of Soviet veterans of the Second World War.
Then his patients were participants in the war in Afghanistan, liquidators of the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, and victims of nuclear tests at the Semipalatinsk test site. 26 hectares belonged to the hospital administration, of which 11 remained. In the 1990s, part of the land has been sold.
More than five hundred veterans improved their health within the walls of this medical institution annually. In 2010, the hospital in Almaty was declared emergency, closed, and promised to reconstruct.
The abandoned place in Almaty is very popular among the townspeople. Therefore, in several years, vandals partially ransacked the building, knocked out the glass. But the territory itself is of the greatest value.
