Soviet Ships Graveyard near Perm, Russia. That place is also known as Zaozyorskaya repair and maintenance base of the fleet. The ships graveyard looks deserted. Nevertheless, the territory is not abandoned and few security guards still make sure that the ships are not demolished to pieces ahead of time.
The main attraction of the Perm ship graveyard is decommissioned Soviet meteors and rocket-boats. In total, there are about two dozen abandoned ships on the territory, and as far as I know, none of them is completely serviceable — therefore, the term “ship graveyard” for this place is quite appropriate, because most likely those ships will never be used again.

In the past years abandoned ships were placed not only on the territory of the fleet base, but also beyond its territory. Unfortunately, those ships were demolished into scrap last year. The rise in prices for ferrous and black metals on the markets has led to the fact that in recent years abandoned ships were used as a source for parts, which can be sold for re-use, or for the extraction of raw materials, chiefly scrap.
