The abandoned pioneer camp “Helicopter” is one of the most beautiful places in the eastern part of the peninsula and the most unusual, in my humble opinion, abandoned pioneer camp in Crimea.
And why actually “Helicopter?” The thing is that before the Soviet Union collapsed, children of employees of the Moscow Helicopter Plant named after M. L. Mil. So the government named it after the plant.
Pay attention to the fence around the pioneer camp, it also has signs of helicopters. Now there is a reconstruction and instead of the pioneer camp, there will be a recreation center.
Staircases with panoramic glazing make this abandoned place so special. There are two stairs and each of them is densely braided with plants. Unfortunately, in late autumn, some of the leaves fall off, but in the summer everything turns into a “real green corridor”.
The most beautiful parts of the stairs are found closer to the roof. In these photographs, the upper spans of the two staircases of the central building.
The place looks like a fairytale castle and only the crunch of broken glass under your feet brings you back to reality.
Surprisingly, nothing is left of the abandoned pioneer camp except for the stairs, but it still continues to amaze and delight! It was a beautiful pioneer camp, and even now, after thirty years, being abandoned and destroyed, it still remains beautiful in its own way.
