Turlatovo Airport (IATA: RZN, ICAO: UUWR) is an airport in Ryazan Oblast, Russia located 10 km southeast of Ryazan. It was a small civilian airstrip, currently with no regular flights. Used for parachute sports, training, and occasional small aviation flights.
The main building of Turlatovo Airport was built in the 1950s. In the 1980s it was used for passenger transportation, tourist flights, and special agricultural works.
The main building of Turlatovo Airport was abandoned for a long time and was completely plundered by local looters. The only reminder that this was the main airport building was an airport sign with letters. If you remove them, the building will look like some kind of an abandoned dining room.
This is how the abandoned main terminal building looks like. It has not been used for many years. But the airport runway itself still can be used for private jets. Despite the complete devastation inside, Turlatovo Airport was still guarded and the windows are periodically boarded up with pieces of wood so that no one could get inside.
