On the central street in Russia along which tens of thousands of people pass every day, there is one very inconspicuous door that has not been opened for a long time. If you go a little further through it, you can get into a real abandoned Soviet cafe.
Old showcases, cash registers, mirrors, decoration popular in the 1980s. Everything is unchanged except for the mess and the smell of old spilled alcohol. The room is very dark, even during daylight hours. There are windows on one side only. And there is nothing to do without a flashlight.
The courtyard looks dumb. The amount of household appliances and furniture thrown out of the windows is off the charts. And the neighboring block of the building where we walked does not look very high quality. It feels like he is about to fall apart, if it has not completely collapsed. All this stuff is located in the very center of the city in one yard.
The sign of the abandoned cafe says that it was open from 09:00 till 23:00. The cartons are full of aluminum spoons and forks. If you dig around, you can find old Soviet plates that are well preserved.
