The project was implemented in 1992 but using outdated wind turbines. The wind farm construction began in 1992. On May 6, 1993, the first three wind turbines of the USW 56-100 type with a capacity of 107.5 kW were commissioned. From 2001 to 2003 — PJSC “Ukrhydroproekt” (Kharkov) supervised the reconstruction and expansion of the Donuzlavskaya power plant.
The average number of employees in the enterprise in 2004-2005 was 81. On November 14, 2008, the Ministry of Fuel and Energy of Ukraine made a decision to enter the enterprise into NNEGC “Energoatom”, and in December of the same year, a separate subdivision was created as part of the national company. State Enterprise “Donuzlavskaya Wind Power Plant” carries out the construction and operation of wind power plants in Crimea.
Most of the wind generators have been dismantled, and the blades have been destroyed. All equipment is rusted. In total, there are about 100 such wind generators in this field. If you look more precisely and closely, only ten percent of them still work, while the rest of the windmills are in such a sad condition.
Until 2014 wind generators belonged to the Donuzlavskaya power plant. But later, apparently, some of the wind turbines were abandoned. Turbines of this series are considered very obsolete, as they start generating electricity only at a wind speed of 6 meters per second. Perhaps that is a reason why some of them were abandoned, or in the future, they will face global modernization.
