Voronezh Nuclear district heating plant Demolition and Dismantling ABANDONED SPACES
Photos and video of dome's directed explosion of the Voronezh Nuclear District Heating Plant in Russia. In 2020-2021 the dismantling of buildings is underway.

Voronezh Nuclear district heating plant (Voronezh AST, VAST) is a nuclear heating plant consisting of two AST-500 (500MWth) nuclear heating reactors. VAST was developed for the central heating system of the city of Voronezh, Russia.

The construction works were conducted from 1983 to 1990. The maintenance works stopped in 1990. 

In 2020-2021 the dismantling of unfinished and an abandoned building is underway. At the end of September 2020, we shared photos of the demolition and dismantling process on the site.
